Bazaars and Special Benefit Sales
All year round across Amish Country, there are
special fund raisers held to help a neighbor with
needs, to fund a country parochial school, church or to support a
local charity. The fund raisers most often include an auction or
craft sale and a meal. Sometimes there is a specific meal price,
sometimes its just for a donation. In any case, the proceeds go to
good cause. Visitors are always welcome.
The fund raisers are held at varying locations around town. Some
are annual reoccurring events,
some
are cause specific. We try to keep the events calendar updated to
include even the smaller ones, as those can be enjoyable if you want
to rub elbow with the locals. You'll find every one friendly at all
of the events.
In November and December, the numerous churches in the area all
host Holiday Bazaars and meals. These events can provide some very
interesting hand crafts and holiday decorations, all while offering
local interaction and participation in a good cause.
