Get your "Passport" to and Arthur Adventure...

Illinois Amish Country has lots to see and do. You can fill a day, or a week and not run out of relaxing, fun activities in this area. 

Want an insight into what Arthur Amish Country is all about? Want to participate a bit in our lives, do some of the things we do, and look a bit deeper into our community than most visitors? We've set up a travel plan for you!

We got a number of locations throughout the Arthur Downtown, and also across the Illinois Amish Country to set up specific activities that are relevant to their business or location and also relevant to our lifestyle here in Arthur. A few "tasks" are relaxing, a few are a bit more challenging, but by taking your time you'll be easily able to do them all. Simple tasks that will get your mind off your troubles. Plus, complete the required number of "tasks" and we will send you a special gift and also enter your name into a drawing for our Passport Grand Prize.

 

So, step out of the rat race and take the time to enjoy the simple pleasure of slowing down. That is the essence of country life! 

Arthur Adventure Passport 1 Specifics
Each Passport will have at least 6 stops designated around the downtown Arthur area, all within easy walking distance These locations may vary by season or availability. Visit each location and complete the described task. Folks will be on hand at each location to assist you if necessary, or just to chat with you while you do your thing. They will answer questions about themselves, the area, local history or events... whatever. The tasks vary, some may be more fun for ladies, others for the men or children, but all will be do-able by anyone. Any we'll help you if you need assistance. ( This is a handicap accessible adventure ) We want you to feel a bit more at home. We'll provide you with one Passport for your group, and ask you to provide some brief follow-up info when you complete the tasks. When you are done return to our Visitors Information Center downtown, and we'll make sure we have your follow-up information correct. Shortly afterwards, we will send you your "Passport Completion Gift" and enter your name into a drawing for a special prize.

Arthur Adventure Passport 2 Specifics
We're working on another version that will include driving. It will take a bit longer to complete, but you will see more of Amish Country in the process. We'll announce it here as soon as it is available.
